Extended snatch press aka Haidie Press

Our own Hidilyn Diaz (2016 Olympic Silver Medalist) is demonstrating a harder variation of a popular exercise. I've never seen anyone presenting it online, so if I'm the Christopher Columbus here, I might as well name it after her?

Of course, Columbus, as we all know, didn't really discover America, just had better marketing than people before him. I already saw a few videos of Russians and Chinese doing this exercise.

I could go for hours into explaining this 7 second video, however I think it will be the easiest, if you just tried it with an empty bar... No, your arms will not fall off, maybe you will not be able to go that low. Once you try it, you'll know you have the complete package here, strength and flexibility.

Try to go for high reps, 10-15, 3-4 sets. Can be done on any training day at the end when the muscles are warm

For fun, try it in a squat or split, but don't full yourself that you're doing any significant progress in your weightlifting career here.

My only technical advice for this exercise:

Try to keep wrists as straight as possible, don’t let them bend backwards too much. Bench pressing nation, you have work to do
